The NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence invites junior scholars to submit papers based on Master’s theses to the annual Conference on Cyber Conflict. CyCon 2017, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia on 30 May – 2 June, will focus on the fundamental aspects of cyber security with a theme of Defending the Core.
Those graduating with a Master degree or equivalent after January 2015 in law, computer or political science or other relevant academic disciplines are encouraged to participate. A selection of junior scholar research will be presented at CyCon 2017. The awards for to recognize junior scholars’ contribution include free conference passes to invited candidates, and stipends ranging from 400-1.000 Euros. The deadline for submission is March 20th, 2017.
CyCon 2017 will cover issues ranging from international cooperation, conflict in cyberspace, and technical challenges and requirements, to legal frameworks, regulations and standards. Every year, over 500 decision-makers and experts from government, military and industry from all over the world approach the conference’s key theme from legal, technology and strategy perspectives, often in an interdisciplinary manner.
